Our reeds

Soft Oboe Reed - Very responsive with light tone and good intonation.

Medium-Soft Oboe Reed - Responsive with richer tone and wider dynamic range.

Medium Oboe Reed - Very stable with superior tone and projection.

Hand-made with premium European cane and staple brands, the reeds are finished with a U-scrape and wired. A sealing material (goldbeater's skin or PTFE) is used to prevent the wire being snagged, or reeds can be supplied unsealed if you prefer. All reeds are checked for quality and response.

Postage is £1.50 for orders of up to 6 reeds within the UK.

Orders are dispatched within 1-2 days by First Class Royal Mail.

If you are not happy with the reeds, please return within 14 days for replacement or refund. Click here for terms & conditions.

Recycling staples

Reeds are supplied in individual containers. Please retain these if you would like to return staples (brass & cork part) for re-caning. This can be done for a £2 discount per reed. Click here to request this service.
